Speakers:

Wellness Expert: Dr. Ailis Brosnan
Dr. Ailis Brosnan is a vegan wellness expert who has over 25 years experience helping people create healthier lifestyles so they feel confident, energised and engage more fully in life.

Vegan for over 20 years Ailis is a passionate advocate of plant based nutrient dense diets. She has a first class honours degree in ‘Exercise Science’ from DeMontfort University in the UK and a Master’s degree in ‘Health Promotion and Wellness Management’ which included nutrition. Her third degree is a Professional Doctorate degree in Health Sciences (Psychology). Ailis has many other certifications including Plant-based Nutrition, Yoga teacher, Living Foods Instructor, Lifestyle and Weight Management along with certifications in a range of holistic therapies.

In her spare time she loves being active in the outdoors and setting challenges for herself. She has completed an Ironman Triathlon (3.8km swim, 180km bike and a marathon), an ultramarathon, swum twice around Garnish Island and this year she is planning on completing a cycle from Malin Head to Mizen Head (the length of Ireland).

Environmental Expert and Journalist: John Gibbons
John Gibbons has been writing and speaking about environmental and climate-related issues for the last decade and more. This included a two and a half year stint as weekly environmental columnist with the Irish Times. He also maintains an environmental blog at ThinkOrSwim.ie. He has appeared on RTE, the BBC and has written for the Guardian newspaper among others.

Vegan Athlete: Heather Gordon
Heather is a vegan ultrarunner. In 2017 she competed in the Atacama Crossing; a 250km self supported race in the Chilean dessert. Last year, Heather competed in a similar race in Mozambique (Ultra Africa) where she placed 2nd Lady and Top 5 overall. Heather hopes to share her insights on how a plant based vegan diet enables her to perform at a high level athletically.

Vegan Lifestyle Expert and Vegan in Ireland Co-Founder: Sivan Pardo Renwick
Vegan lifestyle expert, founder of The Vegan Woman, and co-founder of Vegan in Ireland. Together with her husband, Scott David Renwick, Sivan has been running The Vegan Dublin Food Tours since 2017. She leads Plant-Based Cooking Classes, and various culinary and plant-based living events.

Sivan is also the founder and director of The Vegan Woman (established in 2011), a popular vegan lifestyle online magazine with a following of over 100,000. She is an international speaker and workshop leader, and has lectured on various vegan living topics throughout the years. She is certified in plant-based nutrition by the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, and has been featured on CNN’s Eatocracy, Yahoo!, Vegan Weddings HQ, Vegan Views, Vegan Lifestyle magazine, RTE, The Irish Times, and other national and international platforms.
